Clean and dry:
Clothing, paired shoes, handbags, and belts.
Wet, smelly, or dirty textiles. Textiles with paint.
Some clothing will take over a hundred years to decompose in a landfill. During the decomposition stage, textiles emit certain gases from the dyes and chemicals used. This is hazardous to water aquifers and soil.
We are in the business of textile recovery, meaning diverting used/unwanted textiles from our waste stream, which would otherwise end up in our landfills. Our aim is to increase awareness of recycling and reusing used textiles.
Textile are sorted into categories - according to brand, fibers, and condition of the textile. Textiles are either reused or recycled.
